Representative Cases:

2021-2025, represented well-known international building materials company in patent infringement lawsuits. In the second instance, we secured three evidence investigation orders from the SPC and obtained critical evidence, successfully persuading the collegiate bench and technical investigation officer to conduct an on-site inspection in Guangxi. We overcame complex challenges including authentication of official seals, interpretation of technical features, and claims for punitive damages. Ultimately, the SPC overturned the first-instance judgment, ruling that the defendant’s acts constituted intentional infringement and awarding punitive damages. This case is recognized as a landmark ruling in the field of patent law.
2022-2025, represented European multinational steel group in a series of patent infringement lawsuits involving austenitic stainless-steel pipes. This series of appeals was selected by the IPC of SPC as poster case during its 2024 "April 26" IP Week heard by five-judge panel, drawing significant industry attention. The Court adopted our defense arguments, determining that the original testing method was insufficiently precise. More accurate retesting confirmed that the elemental composition of the accused product did not fall within the scope of the patent claims. Ultimately, SPC reversed the first-instance judgment, ruling non-infringement and dismissal of the plaintiff’s claims.
