Practice Area:
Dr. Cheng's practice focuses mainly on prosecution, including reexamination and invalidation, and litigation of patent. He has successfully represented many major corporations, especially Biotechnology companies and Pharmaceutical companies, in patent prosecution. He has handled more than 500 patent filing and prosecuting cases covering various technical fields, particularly in the fields of biotechnology, genetic engineering, protein and enzyme engineering, and pharmaceuticals, and accumulated rich experience in patent prosecution. Dr. Cheng is also experienced in some patent reexamination and patent invalidation before the Patent Reexamination Board, and patent litigation as well. When he studied as a Ph.D candidate in Peking Union Medical College, Dr. Cheng participated in several research programs in Microbial Pharmaceuticals and published some articles in this field.
